James and Carmine of Dependable Roofing are projecting that it will take them roughly six months to get everything lined up before they open up shop for business. The following are the key milestones that need to be reached in a timely manner:

1. We are anticipating that the business plan including detailed financial projections for the first three years of operations will be ready by 07/23/14.
2. James will be working on getting the business license for Dependable Roofing by applying for it with Kent county. It is anticipated that this process could take up to a month from the date of the application to the final approval.
3. Carmine has an excellent contact in a dear friend who is an excellent insurance broker specializing in Surety bonds and workmens compensation - she will be working with this insurance broker to get the Insurance and Bonding in place after the business license has been procured successfully by James. We are anticipating that the firm will be insured and bonded by 08/30/14.
4. Both James and Carmine have an excellent relationship with a local community lender who has already pre-approved Dependable Roofs for a line of credit. Once the Insurance and bonding are in place, both James and Carmine will be working with the lender to oversee the final loan application and successful closing of the loan.
5. Lease negotiations are being handled by James who has been working closely with a local realtor. A good faith deposit has already been paid by the owners and we anticipate that lease negotiations will be closed out successfully by 10/23/14.
6. James and Carmine are projecting that they should be able to get the furniture, fixtures and technology ordered and delivered by 10/23/14. Detailed listings of these items have already been made and once the leases are getting close to finalized, these items will be ordered.
7. Marketing material and subsequent efforts to begin marketing the business are projected to take place between 11/01/14 and 12/15/14.
8. Finally James and Carmine of Dependable Roofing expect to be ready for business on the 1st of January 2015.

The owners will need another 30 to 60 days after their opening to ensure that all the processes and technology are in a good place to ensure the efficient operations of Dependable Roofing in the coming days.
