In Rhode Island the Corporations Divisions offers a variety of services to help businesses grow. This Division is responsible for examining, processing, and maintaining legal documents that affect the existence, structure or authority of business corporations, non-profit corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, and producers' and consumers' cooperatives in Rhode Island.
They also administer the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) program, Notary Public program, Trademark/Service mark program, the First Stop Business Information Center and several miscellaneous filings made pursuant to specific statutory requirements under the General Laws of Rhode Island.
