The humble beginnings for UNLA start back in the late 1950's when a group of local nursery professionals and local growers wanted to develop an association to better the green industry. The Green Industry of Utah recognizes that in the urban areas the landscape is the environment, and thus should be fostered and maintained. Quality of life issues should be carefully balanced with other factors when considering landscape management.
