The Rhode Island Association of REALTORS® exists to facilitate members’ ability and opportunity to conduct their business ethically and competently. They accomplish this mission by being the primary resource for members’ education, communication, technology, legal information and services and by advocating the use and transfer of real property. The General Objectives are to to encourage an economic climate which promotes the affordability and availability of housing and financing in order to expand private ownership, transfer and use of real property, to develop an effective legislative and regulatory effort to assure the freedom and ability of RIAR members to conduct their business & to promote competency, integrity, and fair business practice on the part of its members.

The South Dakota Association of REALTORS® is one of the 50 member State Associations of the National Association of REALTORS®. Having received their original charter in 1944, they have been one of the leading trade associations within the state of South Dakota for over 60 years. As one of the larger associations in South Dakota, the 1570 member REALTOR® organization is governed by a 47 member Board of Directors who meet quarterly to develop education programs, work on legislative and political concerns, and guide and direct the leaders of the 11 local member boards of REALTORS®. All current Presidents of the local boards of REALTORS® serve on the state association Board of Directors. They along with the local board Executive Officers provide services and programs for REALTORS® in their home localities. Specifically, the local boards own and operate the real estate property multiple listing services, (MLS).

The Texas Association of REALTORS® was established in 1920 and has grown to become one of the largest professional-membership associations in Texas. The association currently employs about 60 people and has more than 80,000 members.
